Your pension plan was founded in 1967 to provide lifetime retirement income to Members of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers (Local #2 BC) along with death and disability benefits for their spouses and beneficiaries. Effective April 1, 2025, the Ceramic Tile Workers Pension Plan merged into this Plan.
This Plan is a target benefit pension plan, which means that benefits are calculated using a specific formula and may be adjusted over time based on the Plan’s financial status. Currently, the Plan is managed by a dedicated Board of Trustees which meets regularly with professional advisors to monitor its financial health, review investment performance, and respond to changing economic conditions and Member needs. The Trustees are committed to responsible management, long-term sustainability, and continuous improvement of benefits, ensuring that the Plan remains strong, responsive, and aligned with industry standards for both current and future generations of Members.
Your pension is built over time based on contributions made on your behalf.
You are eligible to join the Plan if:

Note that your monthly pension will be higher if you choose an option with less coverage, and lower if you choose an option with more coverage.
If you have a spouse, you must select a form of pension that provides at least 60% continuation coverage to your spouse, unless your spouse waives this right.
If you stop working in covered employment:
If you pass away before starting your pension:
